Tips

• Eliminate any stagnant water from your property.  These are ideal breeding sites for mosquitoes.
• Keep vegetation trimmed to prevent mosquito resting sites during daytime hours.
• Purchase fish that feed on mosquito larvae for ponds on your property, such as Gambusia fish.
• Use mosquito repellents that contain DEET. Be advised that products containing Permethrin are for clothing only.
• Avoid the outdoors after dusk; mosquitoes are most active from dusk until dawn.  If outside after dark, wear long pants and a long shirt.
